Advanced Machinist (m/f/d)

Your assignment

  • Operate overhead crane for loading and unloading machines
  • Layout and plan cut path
  • Determine proper tooling
  • Monitor machining process and adjust feeds and speeds as necessary
  • Manage chip generation and maintain clean work area (sweeping and shoveling required)
  • Measure final pieces using rulers, pi tape, dial indicators, and calipers
  • Complete documentation via paper or electronic format
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Your background

  • 6+ years machining (mill, lathe, saw, or boring machines) experience with large steel forgings required
  • CNC (mill or lathe) experience a plus
  • MDI experience a plus
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Must be able to read and use and tape measure
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • OSHA or Machining certifications a plus
