Facilities & Project Engineer

The Industrial / Facilities Technician will support all of operations and facilities activities as a project facilitator and project manager. This role is broad as it supports day to day needs, as well as continuous improvement and future company goals.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment at all times.
  • Support and maintain all facilities systems and software, including HVAC, EHS, Wastewater & State Compliance, Maintenance, Building Security, and Pest Control.
  • Serve as the main contact for facility-related needs such as lawn care, HVAC, custodial services, landscaping, snow removal, and contractors.
  • Assist with environmental audits—lead, assist, and maintain required documentation.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain EHS documentation and other regulatory compliance records.
  • Lead or assist in project clean-up initiatives to ensure timely completion and alignment with company goals.
  • Manage and support engineering and facilities projects, including process improvements, relocations, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate and prioritize with site maintenance for repairs, equipment moves, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Act as a project manager and facilitator for key operations and facilities initiatives.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of process documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency across operational areas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support environmental and engineering projects.
  • Participate in environmental and safety audits, ensuring all required documentation is completed and accessible.
  • Assist with event set-up, planning, and execution for company engagements.
  • Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Identify and assist with cost-savings opportunities related to facilities, equipment, and process improvements.
  • Maintain and update digital plant layouts to reflect current operations.
  • Provide hands-on support with on-site tasks as needed to ensure smooth project execution.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) preferred; Associate degree or equivalent experience accepted.
  • Entry-level engineering background or internship experience in manufacturing, facilities, or environmental work preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge or experience in EHS documentation, facility management, and compliance processes preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
