The Director of Small Joint Arthroplasty is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and management of the launch of PMA small joint arthroplasty product in the US. This position requires extensive orthopedic experience, understanding of the PMA process and Class 3 medical devices, along with a proven track record of driving successful product launches.

Your responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive coding (CPT) and reimbursement strategies to facilitate market access for the PMA product, ensuring alignment with payer expectations.
- Collaborate with clinical research to develop and maintain a clinical database of implanted products for performance monitoring and reporting.
- Close collaboration with sales leadership, regional management to build a strategic business plan to include activities that support the revenue growth objective and training requirements of each respective territory.
- Evaluate the performance of selling partners and surgeon users, gathering insights to inform ongoing strategies and improvements.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of market conditions, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine strategic plans and execution within the small joint arthroplasty market.
- Develop and execute plans to expand market presence and increase product adoption.
- Manage all aspects of the US product launch, including timeline, launch cadence, target facilities, surgeons, educational plans, and partnership alignment.
- Ensure surgeon insights and feedback are shared with marketing, product development teams in alignment with the legal manufacturer.• Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage product specialists, providing guidance, support, and resources to maximize their effectiveness in the field.
- Strategically identify and manage relationships with target healthcare facilities to ensure effective product integration and support.
- Carefully manage relationship with legal manufacturer, ensure ongoing mutually beneficial collaboration. • In collaboration with Medical Education, develop and oversee a training and certification program for surgeon users, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to use the product effectively.
- In collaboration with Medical Education develop and oversee a comprehensive sales rep product training program and ensure compliance among all sales reps.
- Ensure that all activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Regulatory Affairs to navigate and address any compliance issues.
- All other tasks assigned by manager based on business needs.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of proven experience in orthopedic small joint, PMA product management and commercialization.
- Strong understanding of orthopedic products, procedures, and market dynamics preferably in general orthopedic, extremities and/or arthroplasty.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with surgeons, operative staff, and hospital administrators.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding corporate goals.
- Ability to travel up to 80% is required
- Ability to travel and work on weekends to support corporate events and activities
