Your tasks
- Guarantee platform stability, cost efficiency, security, and performance while enabling new data capabilities, automation, and services that support enterprise wide data transformation.
- Provide continuous operational excellence, documentation, and knowledge redundancy to ensure resilient, scalable, and compliant data operations across the organization.
- Data cloud ops: develop and maintain tools supporting data operations efficiency, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Operational support & reliability: maintain platform availability, performance, cost efficiency, and security, including monitoring, optimization, and incident response. ensure observability and support coverage are in place.
- Governance, standards & compliance: implement and enforce UM cloud governance, data security, and operational guardrails; ensure adherence to global standards; manage exceptions with remediation timelines; apply required infrastructure changes defined by the UM architecture board.
- Readiness & cutover control: define technical readiness criteria; validate monitoring, access, deployment, and documentation before go-live; coordinate source-system switchovers; chair go/no-go checkpoints.
- Platform migration orchestration: lead the migration of the UM global data platform infrastructure to the new UM tenant, including provisioning of on-prem/cloud services, DevOps repository migration, workflow transfer, user access enablement, and system/network integrations.
Your profile
- Deep understanding of data platform architectures, integration workflows, and operational support models.
- Extensive experience managing and operating large‑scale cloud and data platform infrastructures.
- Proven experience managing production‑grade orchestration of data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Strong skills in infrastructure‑as‑code, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Proven ability to lead complex data platform migrations, tenant carve‑outs, and hybrid cloud integration projects.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to provide knowledge redundancy and act as a backup for key data engineering functions.
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, security standards, and ICT operations constraints.
- Demonstrated capability to enforce governance, security controls, guardrails, and architectural standards.
