Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager will have responsibility for developing and executing a sales strategy to achieve the regional sales quota as well as other growth and development objectives as assigned by senior leadership. In collaboration with the Vice President of Sales, the incumbent will develop and execute plans and strategies for achieving the Company’s growth objectives in both the Upper Extremity and Lower Extremity product portfolio and additional business objectives relevant in the assigned territory. The incumbent will achieve sales goals through the recruitment, training, and motivation of a world class sales channel comprised of an direct and indirect selling team.

Your responsibilities

  • Quota Achievement and Growth – Build a sales channel that can successfully achieve the assigned annual quota
  • Leadership - Ownership of and responsible for all sales, marketing, and educational activities within their region. They will identify, recruit, hire and train direct and/or indirect sales representatives to build a world-class professional sales organization. 
  • Sales Partner Development – Identify and target strategic partners to expand Medartis’ market presence and drive growth; develop a deep understanding of the industry and regional landscape and trends to effectively position Medartis’ product portfolio; lead negotiations and contract discussion with potential partners to create mutually beneficial agreements
  • Partner Relationship Management – Establish and maintain strong relationships with key strategic partners, serving as the primary point of contact and fostering long-term collaboration; monitor partner performance, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Market Expansion and Penetration – Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and expansion and there is an expectation of working closely with marketing and product development teams to provide market and user feedback
  • Sales Operations and Process Improvement – Expertise in selling into an OR environment with years of documented experience and achievement and will optimize sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the sales organization; implementing best practices in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales reporting to provide accurate and timely insights to senior leadership
  • Cooperating/Communicating with the Director of Strategic Accounts and Contracts – Ensure that any price given to a customer must be approved by the Director of Strategic Accounts and Contracts; working to ensure prompt response if this department needs more information; understanding that decision will sometimes need to be made that are strategic rather than transactional

Your qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. Master's Degree in a related field is a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience with medical devices preferably in orthopaedic trauma or Upper/Lower Extremities
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time within the Region
  • 3+ years of district or regional leadership and management experience
  • Deep understanding of regional market dynamics
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact appropriately with internal and external partners
  • Strong technical knowledge of surgical products, procedures and solutions
  • Keen business acumen and experience managing a budget
  • Strong degree of personal drive, persistence and resilience
